Your Responsibilities
The opportunity:
We are seeking an on-site Deputy Accommodation Manager to oversee our student residence in Zossen. This role is central to ensuring a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming environment for students. You will be the main point of contact for residents, manage daily operations, and support a strong sense of community, working closely with our central teams to deliver a high-quality living experience.
Key Activities & Responsibilities:
- Support the Accommodation Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Zossen student residence, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all residents
- Act as a reliable secondary point of contact for students, helping to address inquiries, resolve concerns, and maintain a positive residential experience
- Assist with check-in and check-out processes, including room inspections, key handling, and move-in/move-out coordination
- Help manage routine maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely follow-ups and communication with service providers
- Monitor the cleanliness and upkeep of shared and private areas, working with cleaning staff to meet hygiene and health standards
- Support student engagement by building approachable relationships and contributing to a friendly and inclusive living environment
- Collaborate with student services and the real estate team to help coordinate room allocations and occupancy tracking
- Assist in implementing and monitoring health, safety, and housing regulations, including routine compliance checks
- Help oversee building security and safety protocols, escalating any issues when necessary
- Provide administrative support for budgeting, vendor coordination, and tracking of facility-related expenses
- Welcome new students and support their orientation and integration into the residence community
- Keep accurate records of incidents, maintenance requests, and student concerns, ensuring timely communication and follow-up
- Participate in regular service reviews and improvement initiatives, contributing ideas based on student feedback and operational experience
